Dr. Jen Maecker

Jen Maecker, AP, DACM, MAOM, DIPL. O. M is a Nationally Board Certified Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Herbalist who has dedicated her life to guiding others on a path to healing.  She holds a Doctoral Degree from Pacific College of Health and Science, a Master’s in Chinese Medicine from Daoist Traditions College of Medical Arts, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Florida, and is an Alliance Registered Yoga Instructor.  During Dr. Jen’s education, she had the opportunity to study with Master Jeffrey Yuen, 88th Generation Daoist Priest and world-renowned Classical Chinese Medicine Practitioner as well as specialists in the Acupuncture field including Dr. Randine Lewis, L.Ac., Ph.D, Dr. Evan Rabinowitz D.Ac., and Simon Becker M.Sc. She also received her Facial Rejuvenation and Medical Microneedling Certification with Master Cosmetic Acupuncture teacher, Michelle Gellis. Most Recently, Dr. Jen was voted ‘Best Acupuncturist’ in the 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards in SRQ Magazine.

An important approach to Dr. Jen’s patient care is offering a nurturing and safe space for healing to take place. Dr. Jen listens deeply to her patient’s needs to balance the body and promote health, wellness, and recovery. In addition, she empowers her patients to take health and wellness into their own hands by providing education in self-care, dietary therapy, and mindful movement practices for stress relief. Patients have described Dr. Jen as ‘attentive’, ‘gentle’, and ‘intuitive’, and ‘feel heard’ during their visit.

As a holistic health practitioner, Dr. Jen’s treatments include various modalities to meet the patient’s comfort level. The use of acupuncture needles, non-needle treatment techniques, herbal medicine, moxibustion, guasha, cupping, and bodywork provide her patients with a broad range of opportunities to promote harmony and balance within the body.

Dr. Jen specializes in acute and chronic pain management, mental health, women’s health, autoimmune conditions, and Facial Rejuvenation and Medical Microneedling.

When Dr. Jen is not treating patients or continuing her studies in Classical Chinese Medicine, she can be found out in nature with her husband, two beautiful kids, and husky.

Cupping, Guasha & Biopuncture Therapies

 

Cupping is a therapy used to increase blood flow, alleviate pain and massage the soft tissue by heating the inside of a glass cup and placing on the skin.

Guasha is a technique involving gently scraping the skin with a massage tool to improve circulation, activate the immune system, reduce inflammation and alleviate pain.

Acupoint Injection Therapy provides a quick solution to health & wellness or pain relief through the injection of vitamins, homeopathic or herbal medicinals.
